About
"I come from everywhere, and everywhere I go." José Martí
Driven by a passion to inspire, connect, and educate, I help organizations, companies, and individuals develop the intercultural competencies needed to thrive in diverse environments. With an extensive background in higher education, I bring together creativity, strategic thinking, and practical experience to design workshops and trainings that bridge cultural gaps and foster intercultural communication.
Born and raised in Sarajevo, I was forced to leave my home country due to the political situation in the late 1990s. Since then, I have lived in the Netherlands, Spain, the Antilles, and Croatia, gaining firsthand experience of navigating different cultures, languages, and social norms. Today, I am fluent in four languages, and these international experiences have shaped both my personal and professional perspective.
With more than 10 years of professional experience in the internationalization of higher education, I have developed and facilitated intercultural workshops and training programs at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam for international students and (academic) staff.
